Who We Are

Therapy for religious trauma, faith deconstruction, and identity exploration

At Restored Roots Psychotherapy, I support people in Kitchener-Waterloo and across Ontario who are navigating the impact of religious trauma, spiritual abuse, and the complex process of rethinking or rebuilding their faith.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of who you are outside of what you were taught, therapy can be a place to begin again.

Who I Help

You might be here because something doesn’t feel right anymore.

Maybe your relationship with faith has changed. Maybe you’re carrying guilt, shame, or fear that doesn’t make sense anymore. Or maybe you’re trying to make space for your identity (including your sexuality) in a way that actually feels like you.

I work with people who are:

  • recovering from religious or spiritual trauma

  • questioning or deconstructing their faith

  • navigating LGBTQ+ identity in the context of religion

  • feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected from themselves

Therapy can help you make sense of your story and move toward something more grounded, honest, and fulfilling.
